If you are looking for a something that offers privacy at night, but also lets light in during the day whilst reducing the glare, our double roller blind system is the perfect solution for rooms that are overlooked, facing the sun, or if you want the practicality of both a sheer fabric, combined with a blackout fabric.
How To Measure
Sizing Information
- To order a recess size blind, enter the wall-to-wall measurement at the smallest point of your window for both width and drop. Our factory will make a small 1cm reduction to ensure your blind fits into this space.
- An exact blind size is the finished blind size including brackets. The fabric will be 3.5cm narrower.
- Fabric size is the size of the fabric part of the blind only. The finished blind will be 3.5cm wider than this to include for the brackets.
- We will add +30cm fabric to the roll so that when the blind is fully extended the roller tube is still covered.
When fitting your blind outside the window recess, we recommend overlapping the window by at least 10cm on the width & drop. You can then specify whether you want us to use these measurements as the Blind Size or the Fabric Size.
Description
Our double roller system combines a blackout blind at the front, with a sheer blind at the back. The sheer blind will be standard rolled and positioned at the bottom of the bracket, while the blackout blind will be reverse rolled and positioned at the top of the bracket.
The sheer fabric is similar to a voile fabric, allowing you to see through both sides of the window, whilst diffusing light in. This fabric is ideal if your room gets a lot of sun, and if privacy during the day is not a concern.
Please see the photos below showing the brackets we use for the double roller system:
The brackets (left photo) are only suitable for top fixing, they are not suitable to be face or side fixed.
The cassette (right photo) can be purchased separately to the blind here: https://www.orderblinds.co.uk/buy/luxury-double-roller-blind-cassette_9601.htm
Our luxury option houses the blinds within a aluminium cassette in white, black or anthracite. This offers a cleaner, higher-end finish.
How are they operated?
These blinds are supplied with a sidewinder mechanism for complete control, and safety clips to attach to your wall or window frame, which then tensions the chain.
The chains can be fitted on either the left or right side of the blind. When you receive the blinds & you would then like to change the roller side over, this is possible to do:

Require longer length chains?
We can provide a longer length chain no problem at all! In order to do so, we need to take an Installation Height from you to comply with child safety legislation.
