Our Spring Loaded Roller Blinds offer peace of mind for parents, as there are no looped cords or hazards, providing child safety. With child safety in mind, these blinds offer the perfect addition to kids bedrooms & nurseries, or to a home with pets that like to play with the cords!
We offer a wide range of fabrics, including Sheer, Waterproof, Sunscreen, Blackout and Daylight. Patterned printed blinds are also available with lots to choose from.
How To Measure
Operation
There is a spring mechanism inside the roller tube that holds tension on the fabric. Within this mechanism are a number of ball bearings that drop into slots as you operate the blind. As a result you can pull the blind down and stop it every few cm as you wish. When you want to take the blind up, simply pull again on the base of the blind and guide it back up.
Customisation
Decorative Pull
You can choose to either have a wooden acorn pull, or you can have the blind without a pull.
Bottom Finish
You can choose from a couple of different options: Plain bottom finish (sewn, complete with a PVC weight), or an curved aluminium bottom bar in black, silver, anthracite or white.
We do not offer any alternative bottom finishes such as scalloped, or eyelets.
Roll Direction
Please see description of each below:
- Standard roll - The fabric will fall off of the back of the tube closest to the window. We make all our roller blinds this way as standard, unless instructed otherwise.
- Reverse roll - The fabric will fall off of the front of the tube into the room. This is ideal if you require extra clearance for the fabric, with obstructions such as window or door handles.
Sizing Information
We add 30cm onto the drop ordered, which ensures that the roller tube isn't exposed when the blind is at its fullest drop.
When fitting your blind outside the window recess, we recommend overlapping the window by at least 10cm on the width & drop. You can then specify whether you want us to use these measurements as the Blind Size or the Fabric Size. Please see our guide on how to measure for this here.
Recess Size
If you want to fit your blind within the window recess, you will need to order the blind as a 'Recess Size'. Please see our guide on how to measure for this here. Make sure you do not make any reductions from these sizes yourself, because for a recess we will take a 1cm reduction from the width you provide, to ensure the blind fits into the space. The fabric width will be approximately 2.5cm shorter than the bracket to bracket width.
Blind Size
If you choose Blind Size, we will use your measurements as the size of the blind including the brackets and mechanism. We will not make any reductions to this. The fabric width will be approximately 2.5cm shorter than the bracket to bracket width.
Bracket Sizes
A spring loaded blind requires 6.5cm depth for installation.
