Our range of “No Drill” Roller Blinds are only suitable for fitting inside of a recess, as the brackets supplied with these are only suitable for side fixing. You do not require a drill to install the brackets, only a hammer and masonry pins (the masonry pins will be supplied with the blind & brackets).
These blinds are only suitable for recesses made from brick, wood, or plaster. The recess is required to have a minimum recess depth of 7cm, in order to accommodate the fitting of the brackets.
Before you start measuring up your window recess for a No Drill Roller Blind, you will need to ensure you have the following equipment:
- Steel Tape measure (always use a steel tape measure as other forms of measuring tools can give false readings)
- Pencil
- Paper
Once you have this equipment, you can start to measure up your window:
- Firstly, take the width measurement. You will need to take this measurement from the top of the recess only, at the point within the recess that you would like the blind to fit.
- To measure for the drop, you will need to measure in 3 different places: left side, middle, and right side of the recess, at the point within the recess that you would like the blind to fit. Note down the longest measurement of the 3.
Work in centimetres, to the nearest millimetre. Always double check your measurements, and ensure that no reductions have been made. Please see our video below:
